Google Recruitment - Job Responsibility:
- Be a part of the team's rotating on-call or interruption schedule, which may include weekends. Support for a wired and wireless, multi-vendor, open flow, SDN-based IPv4/v6 network.
- Together with engineering, architecture, and developers, identify, establish, and update operational requirements for integrating technology into operations.
- In collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Deployment, and Developers, identify operational and implementation difficulties with the network and determine/recommend acceptable solutions.
- Establish, uphold, and evaluate across teams operational and deployment best practises.
- Automate processes to increase efficiency and run code reviews.
Google Recruitment - Eligibility Criteria:
- A master's degree in a technical field or comparable work experience
- working knowledge of business class routers and switches.
Google Recruitment - Preferred Skills:
- knowledge of the architectures of network hardware (routers, switches), including distributed architectures, backplane functionality, and ASICs
- Python or other scripting language expertise
- understanding of application and networking protocols like Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, and HTTP.
- knowledge of OpenFlow and software-defined networking concepts.
